BPM estimates the music’s tempo. Global Key estimates its overall tonal center and may need more musical context. Current Chord follows the recent harmony. These are estimates, not guaranteed transcriptions. Major, minor, dominant-seventh, and no-chord labels are supported.

A tempo estimate and the exact placement of beats are different things. GRID locks only when there is enough timing evidence. Sparse rhythm, changing tempo, noise, and pauses can prevent or release the lock. A short hold can bridge a gap; it does not mean new beats have been heard.

N.C. means no tonal chord is currently identified; it can occur during silence, percussion, or uncertain audio. Learning means evidence is still accumulating. Held means the last estimate is temporarily retained, not freshly confirmed. Evidence percentages describe support within the analyzer, not a guaranteed probability of correctness.

Use one clear music source in a quieter space. Move the device closer and use a comfortable, undistorted playback volume rather than maximum volume. Give key estimation a complete phrase or progression. Dense mixes, reverb, arpeggios, complex chords, and related major/minor keys can be ambiguous. Brief startup tempo errors and delayed chord changes can occur.

Check microphone access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. Listening stops when you leave Live Listen or background the app, including locking the screen. Return and tap Start listening again. After an audio interruption, check that listening is active before restarting your music.

This means some microphone audio could not be processed continuously; it is not a music-confidence score. Stop and restart listening, let an unusually warm device cool, and try again. If it persists, send the warning text and your device and OS version to support.

Use an unprotected file your device can decode. Streaming-service and DRM-protected tracks are not supported. If the file is stored in the cloud, make it available locally first. If you moved or deleted an original, relink the same file from Results. Saved analyses do not contain a copy of the original audio.

Yes. Saved Results include BPM and key corrections and chord-timeline editing. Manual changes do not overwrite the detected chord timeline; you can reset to the detected version. Live listening is an estimate history rather than a full editable recording.

Transpose changes displayed labels only. The diagram capo changes the guitar shape, not the original audio or saved concert-pitch analysis. Practice speed is a separate playback control. Guitar diagrams show one standard fingering for a supported chord, not every possible voicing.

The sample progression is an example visualization with no source audio. Import and link your own compatible file to use audio playback. Animated tempo previews alone are not playback.

Delete an analysis from Saved to remove its local result and associated source link. Forget removes the link without deleting the analysis. Neither action deletes your original media. See the Privacy Policy for details about local data and sharing.
