Privacy Policy
3D Magic Cube Solver is provided by Xiaojian Zhao (White Whale Software). This policy explains information handling for the app, including version 6.1.
Updated September 22, 2026
Camera, photos and puzzle data
The app requests camera access to recognize the faces of a physical cube. Cube recognition and solving run on your device; camera images are not uploaded by the cube-scanning workflow. You can enter colors manually without granting camera access. If you choose a personal background photo, the selected image is used for the app’s background on your device.
Game state, preferences and credit balances are stored locally. This includes separate playing-credit balances for Classic Cubes and additional Twist puzzles, and balances for assistance features. Device backup and restore may include app data according to your Apple settings. Basic gameplay does not require creating an app account.
Advertising, consent and analytics
The app uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads), Google’s User Messaging Platform for consent, and Google Analytics for Firebase. Depending on your choices, region and the services in use, they may process IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, device or app identifiers, advertising interactions, app usage events, and diagnostic or performance information. The app does not request precise GPS location.
These services support advertising, rewarded-ad delivery, measurement, consent management, fraud prevention and app improvement. Data may be associated with device or app identifiers: it is not necessarily anonymous or aggregated. Ad personalization and tracking depend on applicable consent requirements and device permissions. Declining tracking does not mean that no information is processed to deliver or measure ads.
Firebase Analytics collection starts disabled and is enabled only when the app’s consent checks allow it. PRO removes in-app advertising; it does not eliminate the information processing needed for purchases, support or other enabled services.
Purchases and subscriptions
Apple processes in-app payments. RevenueCat helps validate purchases, manage subscription entitlements and restore access. Purchase history, transaction or receipt information, subscription status and an app-generated user identifier may be processed for these purposes and purchase analytics. The app configures RevenueCat without an account-based custom user ID; a generated identifier is still an identifier, not a guarantee of anonymity. We do not receive your full payment-card details from Apple.
Support and online content
If you email us, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond and investigate the issue. Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card information or unrelated personal content. Screenshots should be cropped or redacted where appropriate.
The app may request app-information content from our website. Requests to websites and online services expose connection information such as an IP address to the receiving service. Linked websites, the App Store and third-party services have their own privacy practices.
Service providers and disclosures
Please review the providers’ information for their processing practices:
- Google Privacy Policy and Google Mobile Ads data disclosure
- Firebase privacy information
- RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- Apple Privacy Policy
We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect rights, safety and security or investigate fraud. Providers may process information outside your country under their applicable policies and safeguards.
Your choices
- Manage camera, photo and tracking permissions in iOS or iPadOS Settings.
- Open Main Menu → Feedback & Privacy → Privacy options when that option is available to review the consent choices offered for your region.
- Rewarded ads are optional. If you do not want to watch an ad, cancel the offer. A feature may require an available credit or PRO access.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Deleting the app removes its local app data, subject to device backups and restore behavior. It does not automatically delete information already held by Apple, Google, RevenueCat or support correspondence.
Retention and privacy requests
Local data remains until removed or replaced by the app, or the app is deleted, subject to backups. Support correspondence is retained as needed to address requests and related obligations. Third-party data retention follows the relevant provider’s policies and applicable requirements; we do not promise a single retention period for all services.
To ask about access, correction or deletion of information, contact zhaoxiaojian@hotmail.com. Tell us which information or interaction your request concerns, without sending sensitive credentials. We will assess the request and may need information to identify the relevant records. Some records may need to be retained for legal or transaction-related reasons, and requests concerning independently held provider data may need to be directed to that provider.
Children and security
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We use reasonable safeguards for information we handle, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app or services change. The updated date appears above. Where required, we will request consent rather than treating continued use alone as consent to new processing.
